Welcome to the New Alpine Fly Fishers website
Please Note our new url alpineflyfishers.org
Alpine Fly Fishers was organized in the spring of 1973 by fly fishing enthusiasts who wanted more from the sport of fly fishing. The club now consists of approximately 50 individuals who usually meet regularly to promote and enjoy the great sport of fly fishing. However, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, all in-person meetings have been cancelled. We hope to start having meetings in 2021. However, we are having Zoom meetings on the 4th Tuesday of each month. See below for a list of our Zoom meeting guest speakers and their topics.

Guest Speaker Information for Zoom Meetings
January 26 our guest speaker is Gene Rivers. He will be doing a presentation about the Madison River in Montana.
February 23 our guest speaker is Captain David Dietrich and he will be doing a presentation about fishing for Searun Cutthroats and Coho in the waters of Puget Sound.
March 23 our guest speaker is Marc Williamson from Oregon, and he will be doing a presentation about fishing Spring Creeks.
Alpine Fly Fishers meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month. The meetings are usually suspended during the months of July and August to provide members time for fishing trips and vacations. The December meeting is usually on the 3rd Tuesday to avoid conflicts with the Christmas holidays. When we start to have in-person meetings again, the socializing hour and dinner begin at 6:00 pm. A five minute business meeting starts at 7:00 pm. We then have our ‘Liar’s Cup’ where members can tell us about their most recent fishing exploits. This is followed by a Guest Speaker’s presentation and we end the evening with a raffle. The raffles consist of a wide variety of fishing related items including rods, reels, lots of flies, fly tying tools and materials, some delicious home baked goods and other items used by fly fishers. The membership is diverse in its fishing interests.
Club members come from the following areas: Puyallup; Tacoma; Auburn; Enumclaw; Buckley; Kent; Lakewood; Federal Way; Edgewood; Milton; Roy; Langley; Spanaway; Maple Valley; Graham; Auburn; Bonney Lake; Lake Tapps; Seattle and Sumner.
When we start having in-person meetings again, attend one of our meetings and join in on the fun. We are a family friendly group.
